DESCRIPTION:
The session will focus on the use of AI/ML-enabled tools in editorial workflows. The panelists will present the state of the industry in this area and will highlight IEEE’s efforts to develop, test, and integrate tools, both internally developed and commercially available, in the following areas: pre-submission (for authors), submission screening tools, editor and reviewer support, and misconduct detection. We’ll cover the lessons we’ve learned and the best practices we’ve developed when testing tools, IEEE-wide support for tool testing/development and the creation of best practices, where we are with misconduct tools (what’s available, what’s coming soon, and what’s on the roadmap), and the integration of editorial screening tools through the IEEE Publishing Portal.
